I subsequently received the goods and they were new and quite satisfactory. It took a further phone call and some heated argument before I received satisfaction. Learned my lesson and will stick will big name companies in future.

Good for you. I actually ended up taking mine into an ASUS repair center and they confirmed that it was a refirb, and that the serial number had been removed. They had to get the serial off the motherboard eventually. Thankfully, they repaired it under warranty. If you do contact the Vic Police, send them my contact info to...be more than happy to provide information that would assist them in their enquiries.

I've just had a similar experience and won't stuff around with these crooks. I've told them by email that I'll be contacting the Victorian Police Fraud Squad if my goods don't arrive new and genuine within 3 days.

I went with the bank to get a full refund.

Beyond me how they can still operate.

I sympathize with you. I figured I'd run into the same problems, which is why I never bothered...decided to take this course of action instead.

I hope you manage to get it resolved soon.

The other thing you can do is go through your bank for a full refund, providing you booked it on a credit card. They'll take 6-8 weeks to process it, but you'll get your money back.

Had a same sort of expierience, received part of the goods. The whole payment was taken out. No answer on phone ore emails. Been to their office. There is just a girl. You never get to ses them. Spent four days there for nothing.
I cannot understand that they are still selling goods.
